BMJ Muriithi is an international broadcaster and multimedia specialist with VOA's Swahili service based in Washington D.C.
Muriithi has worked as a TV, print and online for Nation Meda Group as an international correspondent. He has interviewed key political personalities, including Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta, former president Mwai Kibaki, opposition leader Raila Odinga and Tanzanian Foreign Affairs Minister, Augustine Mahiga. Having covered East and Central Africa for many years, he is well versed with the African social-economic and political landscape. Muriithi has covered major international events, including the U.N. General Assembly in New York and the African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He also covers human interest stories from around the world.
