A series of Israeli airstrikes Sunday on the Gaza Strip has wounded seven people.

The Israeli military said in a statement its aircraft targeted three weapon manufacturing facilities in the central Gaza Strip and "two terror tunnels" in the northern and southern Gaza Strip.

The Israeli military said the strikes were in retaliation for an operation Friday, in which one of its soldiers was killed by "terrorist fire."

Israel hit back Friday with a missile strike, killing one person.
