The conflict persists in Myanmar as Burmese forces have intensified air strikes, particularly in the ethnic regions of the country. One of the hardest hit regions is Kayah State where mountainous terrain and checkpoints have slowed aid relief to Internally Displaced Persons, or IDPs.
