The storm of the century hit Puerto Rico Wednesday, with howling winds and heavy rainfall knocking off power and causing floods across the island. On its way to Puerto Rico, Hurricane Maria ravaged several Caribbean islands and killed at least nine people. It is expected to pass by the Dominican Republic on Thursday. VOA's Zlatica Hoke has more.
