The huge sun mirrors ("Solspeilet") set up on the hillside above Rjukan, Norway to reflect sunlight down on the town square, are seen during the official inauguration. Sun-starved residents of the remote Norwegian village unveiled an ingenious mirror system to bring natural light to their mountain valley home, enveloped in darkness for half the year.
