California Gov. Brown takes on Donald Trump's claims that climate change is a hoax.

"Rarely have two parties diverged so profoundly," he says.

Weaver, during her speech, cited farmers who've lost crops and herds. She said, "Can Donald Trump look these people in the eye and say climate change is, 'a hoax' That there's nothing we can do? This is a moment when we, as a nation, have to decide whether we'll ignore the truth and allow real people to continue to suffer, or whether we will put aside our differences, and come together to do what's right."

Crowd cheers the video, and California Governor Jerry Brown as he enters the stage.

The crowd chants, "Jerry! Jerry!"

Actress Weaver is narrating a video playing in the arena. After discussing the effects of climate change on the U.S., it switches to Hillary Clinton speaking about clean energy for the future.
