The final debate between presidential candidates Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump took place after a particularly heated period in the 2016 campaign, with sexual assault allegations against Trump and the steady drip of hacked emails from the Clinton campaign.

Several times the candidates have spoken over each other, with moderator Chris Wallace trying to speak above them.

The next question is about Aleppo. Moderator Chris Wallace corrects Donald Trump, who said previously that the Syrian city of Aleppo had fallen.

"Have you seen it?" Trump asks Wallace. Trump says it's sad and terrible. Trump then says Syria has aligned with Russia and Iran to attack the Islamic State. Calls Syrian President Bashar al-Assad a bad guy. But says the U.S. is aligned with Syrian rebels, and we know nothing about them.

Trump then segues that Hillary Clinton has proposed bringing in thousands of Syrian refugees.
