In Final Debate, Clinton, Trump Tangle Over Immigration, Fitness for Presidency

update

The final debate between presidential candidates Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump took place after a particularly heated period in the 2016 campaign, with sexual assault allegations against Trump and the steady drip of hacked emails from the Clinton campaign.

Results of recent U.S. presidential election polls:

In an average of national polls compiled by Real Clear Politics, Democrat Hillary Clinton leads Republican Donald Trump by an average of six points.

In a recent Quinnipiac University poll of likely voters, Clinton leads Trump, 50 percent to 44 percent.

A Bloomberg poll of likely voters finds Clinton leading Trump, 47 percent to 38 percent.

A Reuters/Ipsos poll of likely voters, finds Clinton over Trump, 42 percent to 38 percent.

However, a Rasmussen poll on Wednesday finds the two candidates in a dead-even heat, each drawing 42 percent support among likely U.S. voters.

Protesters formed a line of taco trucks in front of the Trump International Hotel Las Vegas before the last 2016 U.S. presidential debate in Las Vegas Wednesday.

The taco reference was used to criticize Trump who early in his campaign once called Mexican immigrants rapists and criminals and has called for a wall to be built along the U.S.-Mexico border to prevent illegal immigration.

The taco truck theme also references a Trump surrogate, Marco Gutierrez, who said in September that without tighter immigration policies, "you're going to have taco trucks on every corner."

The Culinary Workers Union organized the taco truck rally. The union opposes Trump who had refused to bargain last year with employees at his Las Vegas hotel. The employees had voted to unionize.
